Design and features
The GRECELL power station has 48000mAh. That’s enough battery to charge your phone about thirteen times, a laptop around three times, or a fan for about 60 hours. It has four different output ports and two inputs. There is an LED light that can face any direction. It can be charged from a car charger, solar panel, or 100W USB-C charge.
During spring break, I took my children to visit their great-grandparents. They just turned 96 and don’t live the same schedule as a bunch of active children, and I was worried that they would be a little overwhelmed. I am so glad that I had this power station with me. My kids all need a fan to sleep, and after trying to find enough plugs for the fans, there weren’t enough plugs to charge the devices and the travel projector that we brought. This power station saved the day. It has a huge battery that can charge a lot of different items at the same time. I was able to charge the power station in the car on the long drive, and I would’ve loved to use a solar panel to also charge the battery, but we lost our solar panel in a windstorm.
I am not much of an outdoor adventure girl, but I can see so many possibilities for this unit. It only weighs about six pounds, so it wouldn’t be hard to take with you. My sister and her kids love to go hiking and live in some crazy places that make it very advantageous to bring an extra charge for their toys. Technology really is amazing and can capture nature at its finest.
I also believe that this power station will come in handy at home. We have power outages all the time during the winter. It’s impossible to know when and where you might need that extra charge, but having the GRECELL can give peace of mind. Maybe you forgot to charge your phone. Maybe it’s the middle of the night and someone needs a fan. Or maybe you just need a light because it is dark. You never know what you might need. Also, if the power is still out and you need to recharge the unit, it comes with a 12v car adaptor and the ability to plug in a solar panel.
I love the display on the GRECELL. It is a soft blue that won’t be blinding in the dark, but can still be visible during the day. It has a large image of a battery with bars to visualize the battery capacity. It also has a percentage written under the battery. Next to the image is the location of input and output. It’s actually fun to watch the input and output fluctuating with the different items you are charging.
One of my toddlers turned on the light when no one was watching. It must have been about three hours later, but the battery percentage only went down three percent. This light is bright. It has two settings for brightness, one SOS setting, and one flashing mode. There is a 360 degree directional rotation and it can also flip 180 degrees.
Final thoughts
Even without being an outdoor enthusiast, I can see a lot of possibilities for owning this power station. It is small and relatively lightweight. It has a light, a phone stand, and a very large battery capacity. I have even used it while roasting marshmallows in the backyard.
